One bedroom, W/D in home, variety of shops, close to many hospitals and clinics

Outstanding.

Finding this place was the ultimate reprieve from the typical way I've experienced booking extended travel. As a Black trans artist, I felt safe, respected, and inspired here. Amy & Carl's home is a MASTERCLASS in intentional design: From the gorgeous woodworking and photography, the private patio, to the thoughtful inclusion of an easel and chalkboard that really helped with my creative flow. In my experience, it's very rare to find hosts who balance being so generous (that's for the home grown Kiwi ya'll!) with such a deep, professional respect for your privacy and quiet. Between the dual bathrooms, quiet environment that was perfect for recording/meetings, and the walkable neighborhood, every detail was dialed in for me to have such a restful and creative residency. TLDR: This home is a rare gem where you can actually hear yourself think and create.

Amy and Carl are very gracious hosts. I had a very nice and fun stay at their property.

Comfortable and Quiet

The hosts are extremely accommodating and so nice at this very comfortable place. The neighborhood is quiet even though the apt is just short walk to bars, restaurants, and stores. Its decor pops giving it a great vibe. Super comfy bed, kitchen is well stocked. Everything worked as it should. I really enjoyed staying here and hope it's available if I find my way to Portland again.
