Nice apartment and landlord
My roommate and I enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The landlord, Sevket, was super friendly and accommodating. The apartment has a large smart TV and a Sonos speaker system thats awesome for music or watching shows. The free shared laundry was just downstairs, which was convenient. We also liked that there was space outside to leave our bikes. The neighborhood is greatquiet, walkable, and theres a Safeway just a few minutes away which made grocery runs easy. Like the older review says, this is an older building, but the landlord has recently put in a new fridge and A/C, which both worked great!
Conveniently located one bedroom
Overall a pretty nice place to rent except during the days when it was 80 or more outside. The lack of insulation made it quite unbearable to be indoors after 3 PM or so until later that evening. The refrigerator was not as cold as it should be and didn't keep my food preserved on those extremely hot days but luckily I didn't have much cold food anyway. Some good things about this property are having a dedicated parking spot that isn't on the street and having a laundry room on site even if it is shared between tenants. Personally, I was also very grateful to have a wired internet connection with a cable modem and a good quality size desk for my PC. I never had any issues with the hot water for showers either. If you like sleeping with cave-like darkness then you will need to improvise some better blackout curtains since the provided ones let some light in still. It's a very old property but still gets the job done well and the landlord was very friendly and willing to negotiate rent.
