Disappointing Experience - Unfair Charges & Unpleasant Neighborhood

I had a very frustrating experience at this property. The owner claimed there was a $700 cleaning fee for a dirty stove," which seemed unreasonable and impossible, especially given the small size of the home. The rest of the property was left in good condition, and the stove was not excessively dirty. The couch was covered in large dark stains which he told me was due to a past tenants cat, so much so that I had to cover it with blankets to sit on it. While I chose to overlook this, it added to the overall sense that cleanliness wasn't a priority. Additionally, we were told to disregard reports of the area being unsafe, but the neighborhood was unsettling. There was constant police activity at the nearby 7-Eleven and regular gunshot alerts, making it feel unsafe. To top it off, the property backed up to a loud party house, where people could be seen throwing up off the balcony, creating constant noise. Overall, this stay was disappointing, and I would not recommend this property.

Amazing stay in Colorado Springs

This was my first travel contract and I got really lucky finding such a nice place- I worked at St. Francis Hospital and this home was the perfect location. Less than 20 minutes from the hospital, 15 minutes to Downtown, and 15 minutes to Garden of the Gods/Red Rock open space! It was a safe street and the neighbors were very nice. I had no issue there besides a fuse blowing which Tim, the landlord, took care of right away. Tim is awesome! Very kind and helpful person. The house itself is very nice with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and a nice kitchen with everything you could need. The backyard is great too, big and fenced in with a small fire pit. I couldn't have been happier during my stay here!
