Lovely home and sweet landlord
I stayed in this wonderful home in a historic Asheville neighborhood for a few months. Kate was a gracious host who made my stay comfortable while providing plenty of privacy. The neighborhood is walkable and close to downtown Asheville. I highly recommend this spot for someone seeking a private room and private bath with a shared kitchen. The kitties were a special bonus.
Coziest room in North Asheville
This room is in an artistic, antique home in the oldest suburban neighborhood in Asheville. The room and bathroom were perfect for me as I transitioned by myself to the area from another state to take a permanent position in the local hospital. I had privacy, yet also felt included in the community by the home owner as if I was a family guest. Welcomed does not even begin to cover how the hostess of this home treated me. All areas of the home were open to me and I was encouraged to participate in house activities, yet never expected to do any of the house chores. I even was graced with accommodations during the holidays for my adult children in other rooms of the home. Though the house is 100 years old, it is kept cozy and clean with all the modern amenities a person could want including a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer. The brand new foam bed and linens, paired with the antique desk and chair, made my stay for the season just as comfortable as could be imagined.
