Apartment in San Francisco, California
Landlord Tenure: 3 years, 2 months
Historic house on a historically designated street. Cute light-filled apartment. Second floor. Across the street from a grammer school. One of the three hippest neighborhoods in the USA per the New York Times. Loads of restaurants, a boutique movie theater, bars, and shops. But Shotwell Street is residential, and more quiet.
Second floor across from Caesar Chavez grammar school - which has really lovely murals on it. This is not a noisy street, as students enter and play on the other side of the school, and the street is "slow" with speed bumps. The street is a very popular route for bicycle commuting. The space has a lot of natural light. The living room is large, and attractive. There is a cute kitchen in a nook, and for esthetic reasons the ...
Excellent trendy neighborhood. The New York Times wrote this one of the three msot trendy neighborhoods in USA (Williamsburg and Silverlake as well). Walk to BART. To theater, to clubs, to restaurants. Safe quiet street lined with trees.
Beautiful home, perfect neighborhood, amazing landlord and neighbors!
I had the chance to stay here for the summer of 2025! I could not have made a better choice for housing. I lived here for 3 months, hosted my mom and brother, and would often work from home alone or with friends, there was always so much natural light and the street itself is quiet. The house itself has such beautiful charm and i never needed anything -- but Rob was great to offer support if I wanted it for appliances. There is also so much charm in this neighborhood and you cant get bored. Food options are fantastic and people are super friendly. Would definitely come back any time. The neighbors in the first floor apartment were also so incredibly kind. Truly the ONLY option if its between this place and some place else.
Comfortable Stay & Responsive Host
Comfortable 1Bed/1Bath with abundant natural light, located on a quiet, safe street in a desirable neighborhood. Comfy furnishings for relaxing or working remotely. Move-in-ready kitchen/dining area w/ range, oven, microwave, and full-size fridge/freezer. Plenty of storage, including shelves, drawers, closet, and entryway. Combo washer-dryer and clothesline on-site at the back of the property. Just a short walk to Haus Coffee which is a haven for remote workers (and similarly close to Stable Cafeanother great option). Groceries a block or so away, along with abundant, diverse restaurants spanning cheap eats, casual sit-downs, and trendy night time options. The host was incredibly kind, communicative, and responsive to any questions. They are great about logistics, so you'll be able to arrange move-in/move-out with ease and efficiency. I felt grateful to have had the chance to stay in the space, and would return again in the future should the need arise. Highly recommend!
