We lived at the Pepper Tree Cottage for 8 months. This is an idyllic homethe most well designed weve ever lived ina perfect size for 2 people. There is natural light everywhere, especially the kitchen, which has lots of counter space and cabinets. The high ceiling in the living room gives a really spacious feeling: lots of opening windows and doors for natural air flow. Its built on a steep slope with a ground floor front porch facing the driveway (a cobblestone courtyard) on one side and a concrete deck, about 20 high, with beautiful views of distant hills. The house is at the end of a ridgetop road with very little traffic and beautiful views for walking. A few people from nearby neighborhoods drive over just to walk there. The landlords were friendly, attentive to maintenance and generous with the lemons. This is probably the nicest rental in Arroyo Grande.
