Not what we expected: JC Hostel 2

My friend & I rented this place for our time in Missouri while on contract. It was the basement portion of the home. We did not enjoy our time to be honest. Someone with 2 dogs was renting the top portion of the home, so constantly hearing dogs barking & running around all times of the day/night was no fun, spiderwebs/spiders in corners of the home, carpet beetles in the mattresses, fridge was slightly dirty, used tissues behind the bed, tub was definitely way too small. Overall, not happy but only stayed because we had already paid our deposit & first month rent.

Peaceful home away from home

Place was clean, equipped with starter food for some simple meals, cleaning supplies, pots, and dishes. I traveled with 2 kids, there was plenty of room, nice size yard. Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. The owners made us feel very welcomed, a great host. I am very thankful for how she worked with my family and I during our stay.

Great place to stay.

Property is large and well maintained inside and out. Easily accessible to many places throughout the area. Property owners are nice, and I believe they would have been quickly attentive had any issues arose. Washer and dryer were a nice benefit.

Nice quiet peaceful neighborhood

T is a really nice lady and she has good communication. If I had any questions or concerns she was quick to reply. They take care of their property. Neighbors are nice and would wave or say Hi. Nice place to stay and kitchen is well stocked. Thank you T and husband. Missouri is beautiful.

Great place to stay

The house was very clean, a good quiet neighborhood. T was very responsive and had everything I needed there. Definitely a great place to stay. I also had no problems with getting my deposit back. She viewed the house and I received my full deposit within a few days.

Best Ever!!!!!!

This is the best place you can stay in Jefferson City. It is peaceful. Neighbors are friendly. Ms. T and Mr D are the best. They responded to whatever I needed which wasn't very much because her house has everything. She is very kind and understanding. I would not have left if my contract had not ended. Let me say this is they call me back to Missouri just know I'm calling Ms T first! And is she a RN that was icing on the cake for me! I could go on and on. Just know you will be safe and taken care of by Ms. Tammy 10 's if they would allow me to give that rate

After leaving my previous review, there was a costly miscommunication with the landlord, so I would like to update my review. I texted T a few weeks after we left about our security deposit. Nothing was damaged, but she complained about some dog hair that she found behind the couch, on a rug, and on the sheets. She was upset that we let our dog on the furniture. No cleaning instructions were given. Adequate cleaning supplies were not provided to us(no vacuum was available, but we did sweep often). No furniture restrictions were mentioned. We travel with our dog regularly and have never had landlords complain before. T clearly had expectations of how the house should have been cleaned that were not discussed with my husband and I until it was too late. She decided to withhold $400 from our $500 deposit. She was unwilling to compromise on the amount. Future tenants: Id recommend discussing expectations with Tami thoroughly. Basic communication could have saved us hundreds.
