Modern amenities paired with old downtown charm. We purchased this home in 2016 and lived here for many years as we grew as a family. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and great neighbors. The house has a newly remodeled kitchen, bathroom, new plaster for pool, as well as other odds and ends around the house. The back section of the house was an add on in the 70's used as an home office with lots of workspace, and yet it retains ...
Located in downtown on quiet, friendly neighborhood street. The house is located within walking distance of a park, a racquet club (with a retro-diner), and within a short distance to the Downtown restaurant and entertainment district.
Spacious & Convenient
I had a good experience staying here overall. The house was comfortable, spacious, and in a convenient location for my time in Bakersfield. Michael was kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with, and I appreciated how much effort he put into making sure the home was ready for my stay. A couple of things to be aware of for future guests: the neighboring dogs barked quite frequently and could be reactive at the fence, something to keep in mind if you're noise sensitive or have a fearful dog like mine. The pool also required a little more hands-on attention than I had originally anticipated. Overall, I appreciated having a clean, comfortable, and safe place to stay during my contract and would definitely consider staying here again if I return to Bakersfield.
Beautiful home
This is one of the most beautiful houses we have stayed in. Very well built, all the finishing touches and quality furniture put this over the edge. Plus with the huge yard and pool. This is a gem in Bakersfield, beautiful neighborhood and a park and pickle ball down the street. Also felt very safe and Michael and his wife were wonderful tenants. Even picked me up from my hand surgery because I didn't have anyone in town and my husband was out of town at the time (it was an emergency) highly recommend this stay
