Didn't return full deposit
S was a very nice host for the most part, upon movement we did not receive the full deposit if $1000 back, she kept $225 of it to repair a leak in the pipe under the sink which she found couple of weeks later after we moved out and took the money out of my deposit to fix it. This is a maintenance issue that comes with owning a home and it is not due to any misuse or mistake of the tenant as the sink and faucet drained perfectly with no difficulties. Taking money out of tenant deposit is illegal when the damage is not caused by the tenant. This was a maintenance issue that the landlord is responsible for, not the tenant.
