Misrepresented, completely.

I stayed here for 2 months. The place is completely dirty. There's construction all the time to the main. There is a door that leads to main house, where owner can come in woth no lock. There are bed bugs. The backyard is a mess and completely dirty. There are bugs everywhere. They did not clean the unit. Nice people, but the place is extremely dirty.Do not stay here

We were surprised by these claims, as they were not raised during your 2-month stay. Had we been informed, we would have addressed them immediately. To clarify, the unit is professionally cleaned before each guest, the door mentioned is secure, and we have no reports or evidence of bed bugs. Any nearby construction is outside of our control. We remain committed to providing a safe and pleasant environment for all guests.

Amazing Stay and Hosts!

I had an amazing stay here! The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating, always making sure I had everything I needed. The space itself was just as describedcute, cozy, and very comfortable. Having driveway parking made coming and going stress-free, and I really appreciated having my own access to the washer and dryer. What stood out most was the thoughtful hospitalitythe host even helped walk my fur baby when I was coming home late, which meant so much to me. The home was spotless, well-stocked, and in a great location with easy access to shops and restaurants. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming and hassle-free stay. Id definitely come back!

Unclean & Misrepresented

I reserved this unit for September 2025 but canceled upon arrival. The space was not ready at the scheduled move-in time, was not professionally cleaned despite a $150 cleaning fee, and there was active construction noise in the attached main house that was not disclosed. The landlord initially agreed to cancel and refund my $300 deposit, but I have not received the refund despite repeated follow-ups. Future renters should be aware that this listing does not reflect the actual condition of the property.

Hi Christine, First I want to say thank you for your feedback and I am sorry the unit did not meet your preferences. As we discussed, and I was transparent that the prior tenant had just vacated and professional cleaners were scheduled to arrive later that same afternoon. You chose to start moving in your items before the cleaning was completed, which is why the unit did not appear fully ready at that time. The unit itself was exactly as listed, including washer/dryer location and air conditioning details, but after spending hours in the unit, you later requested a rent reduction from $1,750 to $1,400. When I could not accommodate that discount, you chose not to remain. Regarding the deposit, since you had signed the lease and moved your belongings into the unit, you were considered a tenant under California law. Even so, I still considered refunding the deposit in good faith despite the inconvenience of holding the unit and needing to re-list it. With respect to the noise, there was a brief repair happening in the front house that day, and I explained it would only last one day. It was not ongoing construction and did not affect the rental unit itself. As the construction was scheduled to be completed by your original move in time. Overall, it was a unfortunate circumstance but I wish you the best in finding a place that is a better fit.
