Nice three bedroom

Great location, great apartment

Very spacious apartment, beautiful wood floors and lots of light. Had solid appliances and pretty much everything I needed for a furnished apartment. Good location, easy to access downtown. Landlord was great, very flexible with anything I needed and very responsive. Even drove me back to my hotel when I visited for touring the apartment instead of an Uber. Definitely recommend!

One of the worst rentals I've ever used

This rental was a terrible experience. The pictures are staged and although it looks similar, it is not the same. Everything is half-a**ed. Blinds are missing, floors come apart, doors don't open or close properly, there is damage everywhere. Everything is disgustingly dirty. Which is ironic since he kept over half my deposit for "cleaning". There were what I HOPED were beard hairs IN the cabinets/drawers. I had to clean the entire place before I the nausea went away from how dirty it was. I didn't eat there until I cleaned it top to bottom. The neighbor next door is very nice but listens to her tv or music on 70 at all times, which you can hear because you share a wall due to it being a zero lot. The neighbor behind has a reactive doodle that terrorized my dog while we were there. The neighbors across the street park about 5 vehicles behind the driveway and it makes it impossible to get out in the morning.

Great house and neighborhood

The house was big, clean and cozy. The house had 3 nice bedrooms, new fast wifi and felt comfortable even in the cold winter months. The neighborhood was also beautiful, quiet and safe. The stores were only 5 minutes away and the highway was a few mins away. James, the owner of the house, was very nice and responsive to any maintenance issues and fixed them right away. The furnace of the house had gone bad from old age and he replaced it the next day with a new furnace. He cares about his tenants and wants to make sure the living conditions meet expectations. I would definitely rent with J again if I'm ever back in Iowa City.
