Home Away from Home!

The apartment is lovely. It had everything we needed in a wonderful location. It is clean, accessible, beautiful, convenient and the host is so kind. Whenever we needed anything, Terry provided it . So great to have washer and dryer in the storage room. The decor is so tasteful and comforting. The beds are super comfortable. It is cool in the apartment even though today was over 100 degrees. The stores are so close . You can hop.on the belt route so quickly [ our favorite highway in SLC!] You can go hiking and cross country skiing in minutes from the apt! The wildflowers and birds in the yard are lovely. The newer deck is well built and large . Terry has a massive umbrella over it and it is a great place to read and birdwatch The kitchen is well appointed and fun to cook in. The bathroom is exquisite. The walk- in shower will be missed! Seeing Mt. Olympus so close everytime we got in and out of our car was a real treat. The neighborhood is nice for walks and bike rides, too.

renters beware! rats & unkept property

When we first arrived the unit had an overwhelming stinky dog odor that was impossible to get rid of. We found dirty dishes and trash from previous tenants under both beds and furniture. The landlord does not maintain his yard. He calls it a wildflower habitat" but he doesn't own a lawn mower & everything is overgrown in the front and back yard. We expected a maintained yard free of glass, trash, nails and debris for our dogs to use. My husband stepped on glass. There's huge rats in the backyard. Terry only set out traps after we threatened to call the SLC health department. He said rats are normal in Utah" (they're not) Terry was not diligent about picking up his own dogs poop. I told him multiple times we kept stepping in his dog poop and he still wasn't picking it up. Terry is condescending when you bring issues to his attention - no one would be okay with rats! Rats carry disease. I would give 0 stars if I could.

amazing location

T was an excellent host surpassing my expectations. I typically reserve the reviews for experiences that are extremely negative or exceptionally positive. The rental itself is beautifully designed with modern touches and private entrance. The bathroom and shower are truly luxurious and the kitchen has everything you need to truly make a gourmet meal if you enjoy cooking. Lots of storage, comfortable beds and couches, outdoor yard amazing for dogs and relaxing in. The location is superb minutes away from restaurants grocery stores mountains and water spring hikes. You can't go wrong!

Quiet safe place with beautiful views!

My boyfriend and I stayed here during my contract at the U of U. It was very quiet, clean and comfortable. The landlord was very responsive to our minimal needs and gave us our privacy. It is close to ski resorts and lots of food options nearby. The shower was amazing, and it was very nice to have our own washer and dryer in our space. We would definitely recommend this place for several month stay's. We would also return if given the opportunity. The views were also so great!

Beautiful Apartment in a Prime Location

We stayed in this apartment for almost exactly 4 months. The location is close to freeway access making it perfect for work commutes. Being close to Milcreek Canyon is a beautiful bonus. The drive to other canyons and ski resorts is only 10 minutes or so as well. This basement apartment has been fully renovated and is an art piece of style and design. Its great being able to stay in a fully furnished and functional apartment, the kitchen has everything you need to cook just about any gourmet meal. The bathroom shower is a real highlight, the tile work and stone flooring is beautiful. Its a really big shower with a peaceful rain shower head feature. The backyard has a brand new deck with patio furniture to relax and watch the sunset or hang out and sun bathe. The front yard view feels like youre almost at the base of Mt. Olympus, its stunning. The owner is very quiet and also accommodating to tenants needs. We really enjoyed our stay here and are greatful we found such a hidden gem.
