My Tenant Stay

I booked this lovely private guest house for myself while I was stationed at Kern Medical Center (KMC) which made their mother-in-law unit perfect. They are located a couple minutes drive from the hospital in a quiet & safe neighborhood with endless parking available. After my day shift, I would come back home and enjoy a quiet walk in the neighborhood as my relaxation time. The home is spacious for 2 people, and comfortable with a kitchen, full size bathroom sitting area and a queen size bedroom. The host was very accomodating! Thank you again for having me.

Great Stay and Beautiful Home

I had the pleasure of staying at this guest house for a couple of months during my travel nurse assignment dignity health hospital, and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. The unit was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, which created a warm and comfortable stay. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, but also conveniently close to the hospital, which made my daily commute stress-free. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained accommodation."

BEWARE: DID NOT RETURN SECURITY DEPOSIT

Do yourself a favor and do not book this unit. I've had so many issues (broken lamp, fob never fixed,landlord not availble)BUT the main one is that the landlord REFUSES to refund my security deposit. I had to leave after one month due to the unit smelling like cigarette smoke. The smoke was causing me headaches and I was walking into work smelling of cigarette smoke. After leaving the unit for my shift, once I open the door the smell was overpowering. The unit is connected to the main house. Though there isn't a shared entrance, the central air conditioning is connected so I was able to smell it right away through the vents. I contacted the landlord and she came and talked to them, but nothing was done and it was not resolved. I had to move out early and gave weeks notice. She said it was okay, but apparently not cause she won't give my money back. She also claims I owe her the next month's rent because I left early. She has blocked my number, refuses to reply to my texts/emails.
