2 months stay with no problems
This was a rental experience that went flawlessly from start to finish. Johanna proved to be a gracious host in absentia; although we never met her, all questions and potential concerns were already addressed in the detailed instructions provided in advance. The security deposit was promptly refunded within a few days of our checkout. The apartment and its facilities are accurately represented in the photographs on the site. Overall, this is a very good value-for-money option within reasonable proximity to Manhattan. Our only remark concerns the additional $40 monthly charge for use of the washer/dryer—it strikes both of us as mildly excessive or petty. That said, both units were large, effective, and easy to operate. Overall, highly recommended without hesitation.
Great space
Johanna is a wonderful host. Space is in quiet area of queens close to train and bus lines. Access to the city is very easy. Apartment is modern and comfortable. Bonus - parking is available and without street cleaning in most spots! A real gem in NYC.
Great loft apartment, excellent location
I spent 9 months in this loft apartment and it was perfect in every way. The loft is minimalist, clean, and spacious with a big-city industrial feel inside (exposed brick, high ceilings, skylight in the kitchen, nice natural light, great kitchen). Finding street parking was never an issue, which is a major plus in the city. Commuting to midtown is super easy via the Roosevelt Island Tram or the subway (both equidistant from the loft). Roosevelt Island is a close walk, which is excellent for anyone who enjoys running or biking outside. I could not recommend this place more for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient temporary place to stay in the city.
Spacious loft in Astoria/LIC
I stayed in this loft for three months over the summer. Its very spacious, quiet, and comfortable. It also stayed cool with the AC during the hot days. I enjoyed my time. Located on a more industrial street but there are a lot of places within walking distance or a short bike ride/uber ride. Neighbors are also very friendly. It is very convenient if you are working on the upper east side, you can cross over the Roosevelt bridge and take the tram.
