Awesome - Great Spot with Exceptional Hosts

This apartment is great—spacious, homey, and beautifully designed (with unique lighting and thoughtful details throughout). The bed was good, the sheets were insanely soft, and the laundry room next door made my 3-week stay very comfortable. The location was amazing: close walking distance to the beach, cafés, restaurants, a pharmacy, buses, and a nearby park. As a woman walking alone, I generally felt comfortable coming and going. That said, if it’s later (maybe after 10pm), it’s likely best to take a car/Uber/Lyft due to the homelessness crisis in the area (not at all the owners’ fault). This neighborhood still felt safer than nearby areas. For me, the best part was the owners—Patrick and Emilia. They were incredibly caring, kind, responsive, and trustworthy. Nothing was too big nor too small for them to tend to—and quickly. I would absolutely stay here again. 10/10 recommend.

4 blocks to the best beach in SM

My partner and I had the best 3 months of our travel nursing time while we stayed here! The location is absolutely perfect, only 4 blocks from the beach and crescent bay park and 2 blocks from Main St. Main st is the most walkable area in SM! The coffee shop 2 blocks away was such a wonderful place to get your day started. The apartment itself is gorgeous, super comfortable, and well stocked with any cooking supply you'd need. Laundry is in the building just a few doors down and operated with an app on your phone. The bed was very comfortable and there was ample storage for anything you'd need. There's no AC but we didn't find that to be much of an issue, and all the windows had screens so we had great airflow without any bugs. We were there well into December and never needed to turn the heat on either. Emilia and Patrick live in the building and are very responsive, helpful and flexible. We are very thankful to them for all their help while we stayed there.

The Perfect Spot!

We can't say enough amazing things! We walked to the beach every weekend, and if we didn't go there, we would lounge by the pool right outside of our unit! Quick stroll to Main St. where we did a lot of restaurant and bar hopping. Dogtown coffee will forever be my favorite coffee shop, less than a 5 minute walk, with an ocean view the whole way! The unit was perfect for my husband and me. It had everything we needed- it was spacious, clean, updated, and had a great layout. Good closet space too! My husband works from home, so he loved having the desk to work from (when he wasn't working from all the local coffee shops!) We never had trouble finding parking. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. We enjoyed getting away from the busyness of Santa Monica in our own little oasis. We would come back in a heartbeat! Patrick and Emilia were the best landlords we've had in our 4 years of travel nursing! They live close by and were always available and responsive. Also just amazing people!
