Wonderful stay in this peaceful room!

My stay in Oakland was absolutely wonderful. This room was so spacious and Jamie was so generous with her space. She truly made me feel at home. I stayed for 5 months and loved exploring the Bay Area, both SF and east bay from this location. Jamie was an incredible roomate and so supportive as I navigated living in a big city for the first time. I highly recommend staying with Jamie in this wonderful, peaceful room. My favorite part about this room was watching the sunset off my own private little balcony every night. Truly magical.

Love the place

Jamie is the perfect roommate that Ive ever had. She made me feel completely home and she respected my personal space. Also, its a furnished house, which is very convenient. And there is a beautiful garden where you can take a rest! So its really good to be at home. Its close to the uptown and taking the bus is pretty easy by walk.

amazing stay!

My stay with Jamie was really comfortable. I enjoyed the private entrance and the way the home was very zen like. Jamie was very considerate of my space but also made the apartment feel like home. The private entrance has an amazing view of the sunset/sunrise!! I would often sit on the stairs to read and relax. Parking definitely got a little harder to find after 5pm but the further I had to park was 1-2 blocks down the street. I never got my car broken into although I always am mindful to never keep anything in my car in the Bay Area. West Oakland is a prime and historical area. Lake Merritt is about a 7 minute drive and a really great place to run. There's a running club that meets here at 6pm every Wednesday:). Downtown is about a 15 minute walk, there are so many great restaurants, bars, workout studios (if you're like me and you love class pass you'll enjoy this city). Overall I loved staying with Jamie and the only reason I left was because of work!

Fun, peaceful, perfect

Take another look at the picture of the room and you'll see the best light fixture you've ever seen - that the apartment owner here made. Little bit of charm like this are scattered throughout the apartment from the projector TV to the beautiful plants that are everywhere. In the backyard there is a fig tree, and there's nothing more peaceful than picking one of the figs and looking at the view from the balcony that you can access from the private entrance this room has. The room comes equipped with a heater (if you're here when it's cold) and a speaker that I wish I could take with me. You're even given the luxury of phone chargers available in the room when you move in. I had an amazing time staying in this apartment, and will miss it dearly. This space played a huge role in helping me get situated in the Bay Area, with multiple bus stops and a BART station within walking distance. If you're looking for a peaceful home to return to at the end of a busy day, this is the spot!
