The heat doesnt work in this property. The 1st nt I stayed there, I had heat turned up to 89 & it did nothing. She told me she was going to call the company that sold her the heater but She never did this until 2 days later. I actually left the property to go stay at a hotel because I was so cold. The 2nd day a tree fell on a powerline due to the snowstorm & completely cut off the power in the house for almost 2 days. She promised me a full refund & told me to go get a hotel & stay warm all while im now sick. I went back and tried to give it another try on Saturday night when the power was turned back on & even with an electric blanket and 3 or 4 other blankets on top of that again. I did not sleep all night because I was so cold. I ended up having to get another hotel on Sunday night for another $130. The total I gave her for seven days was $390. I only stayed there 2 nights & froze & didn't sleep a wink. She only refunded 200 & charged me $95 for each of the other 2 sleepless nts
Owner/landlord enters property without permission.
This property is very small, though it did serve its purpose during my 13 week assignment. The kitchenette had minimal lighting for preparing small meals and no coffee maker. The carpet needs to be replaced and was told that she would have them cleaned within the week, which never happened. I did ask her about the carpet cleaning the next week, but was told that it would cost me $150 to have them cleaned. No vacuum cleaner in the unit. The last week of my lease she came into the unit with her 2 dogs to allow the maintenance man to do repairs. By law she has to give the tenant 24 hours notice before entering to do any repairs. She did enter the property on several other occasions without my permission, she would come in to the unit to turn off the porch light which I would leave on when I left for work at 9pm. There was no other outdoor lighting and it was pitch black at that time. She did not provide a move in check list. I still haven't received my deposit or an explanation otherwise.
