I had a wonderful stay with Ms. Kenesia in California, both in 2017 and again last year. Her home is inviting, cozy, and located in a safe, well-lit neighbourhood, which made me feel very comfortable during my stay. Ms. Kenesia was respectful of my space and my need for quiet while I was working night shifts. One of the highlights was her passion for health; she kindly shared her nutritious meals with me, which I greatly appreciated. The location is convenient, with easy access to the interstate for commuting and a Walmart nearby for any shopping needs. I would definitely recommend her place to other traveling professionals. Just a note: Ms. Kenesia has allergies, so it's important to be mindful that no fragrances, including perfume, soap, or laundry detergent, are allowed in her home. Overall, a positive experience!

Summer Stay

The day to day living situation was fine, but two main issues stuck out. The first is we had requested if it was possible to drop our suitcases a few days early, to which we were told would be okay, but did not inform us that we would have to pay for those days until we drove 7 hours to the place in person and had to sign the lease (would have been fine paying anyways but a heads up would have been appreciated). The second issue was there was an incident where the lock to the room got jammed, and I was unable to open the door and had to wait several hours for the host to come and get it fixed. After that, she claimed that she didnt know there was a lock at all and took the payment to get it replaced out of OUR deposit, despite it being an issue with the apartment in the first place.

Quiet, friendly stay in Newbury Park

Kenesia is a wonderful host, and she maintains a very cleanly space and beautiful private bedroom/bathroom. It was a nice quiet retreat while I completed a clinical rotation nearby. The kitchen was almost always open for use, and Kenesia welcomed me to use shared living spaces at my leisure. As long as you are willing to avoid using strong perfumes/other scents, this is a lovely place!
