The open-concept living room is wrapped by the front porch and has beautiful, natural light. It has a television with a Fire Stick as well as electric fireplace, and a pull-out Queen sofa bed.

We've loved decorating the house with antiques found while traveling. Seen here is a brass telescope from a souk in Kuwait. The red poster is an old propaganda poster from Vietnam, and most of the furniture is solid wood.

From the kitchen, you can see both the deck and the pasture in front of the house. The island makes for an easy place to eat, and we keep there additional stools in the laundry room. The brown table (under the statue), folds out into a full-size dining table.

The home has three bathrooms. This is the guest bathroom located off the living room. It also connects to the laundry room.

The laundry room features some basic supplies to get you started along with a steamer and a high powered dryer and top-loading washer.

The primary bedroom is enormous and feels almost like a studio apartment. It has an en-suit bathroom with a double vanity and an equally-large walk-in closet. Each bedroom is equipped with blackout curtains.

As the last house on the lane, the home is surrounded by green on three sides. In the evenings, you'll see deer and hear the chirps of crickets.

Our absolute favorite Furnished Finder we've stayed in! The hosts were absolutely lovely and we consider them friends after our time spent in Mars Hill. The house is large and spacious and has everything you need on both floors. The neighborhood is quiet which is nice to get out of the craziness of Asheville when needed. Mars Hill has a nice coffee shop to work in, brewery to drink at, and the university campus park right down the street to walk and explore. I couldn't recommend staying here enough, and even better, you know you'll have landlords that are kind and willing to help when needed. Five Stars!!!

MARS HILL RETREAT

My partner and I LOVED living here. Perfect location to get out from the busyness of Asheville. I worked nights at Mission, and each bedroom has blackout curtains and was perfect. The home is filled with natural lighting, so it was nice stepping out of the room and basking in the light. The home met our needs and beyond. L and T were excellent hosts and gracious with their time and care, and made sure if there was anything we needed, to let them know. 10/10.
