Spacious, well-located apartment with thoughtful hosts

I had a great experience staying in this apartment for the fall. The space is very large, with thoughtful storage solutions in the hallway. The spacious bedroom has enough room for a desk (already provided) if needed. However, there isnt additional room in the living or kitchen areas to set up another workspace. This is something to keep in mind for those who need to divide work and rest. The apartment is located upstairs under a steep roof, so the angled walls took a bit of getting used to being taller (Im 63). The shower, also under the sloped roof, has limited headspace, but I quickly adapted, and it wasnt an issue. The AC struggled to keep up on warmer days above 80 degrees, but I was there in the fall, so it was manageable. The apartment temperature was usually between 72 and 76 degrees on hot days, which was warm for me, but to each their own. The heat, which I could control separately, worked perfectly. A big bonus is the private laundry with a brand-new washer and dryer. The kitchen has a working stove, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and plenty of cabinet storage. However, there was no dishwasher, which added some extra time depending on how much I cooked. The landlords were terrificextremely responsive and respectful. They were also very accommodating and willing to add things to the apartment if needed. For example, I purchased another set of garbage cans and a few other small items, and they promptly reimbursed me. They also prepared blankets, towels, and small toiletries for my arrival, which was great. If you couldnt go shopping or situate yourself immediately, youd still be okay. They control the AC but were very reasonable and accommodating about it. You also have your own garbage and recycling bins, so there is no need to coordinate with them for disposal. They also offered to have their cleaning service clean the upstairs unit whenever I wanted for $100 per cleaning. This was the same service they used for their downstairs unit, and I found it convenient and well done. Noise-wise, the property isnt completely soundproof. You may hear occasional barking from their friendly dogs or footsteps from their adorable two-year-old son running around downstairs, but it was never disruptive. I felt comfortable taking important business calls or having a friend over for dinner. The landlords were always quiet after 9 p.m. The location is excellentclose to the Long Island Expressway and the Ronkonkoma train station. Its centrally located, so most parts of Long Island are just 15 to 20 minutes away. The neighborhood is safe and close to an elementary school. Parking is also convenient, with a dedicated spot in their driveway and plenty of street parking available. While I was initially hesitant about the cost, the flexibility of avoiding a year-long lease, the quality of the apartment, and the fantastic landlords made it worthwhile. If the unit had a dishwasher and a bit more insulation from downstairs noise, I would easily give it five stars. To summarize, this was a wonderful stay. I strongly recommend this family and their apartment on FurnishedFinder and would gladly stay here again.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!

My stay at Js has been absolutely amazing. It was my first time using Furnished Finder and going so far from home so I was nervous. The night I arrived after a 9-hour drive, J came out and met me, showed me around the apartment, and even offered to help me carry my things up from the car. The location is amazing, literally not even 5 minutes from the expressway. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and convenient to everywhere. I pray I get another contract on Long Island because I will absolutely stay here again! It was literally perfect for me and Justin was the greatest host.
