Highly recommended!!

We spent a wonderful month in Kona on the Big Island, and this place was absolutely perfect! The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and thoughtful throughout our stay. Since the house is brand new, everything was spotlessly clean and modern. The location was also fantastic—very convenient for exploring. We already miss it so much and would absolutely love to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Oceanview Retreat

Very clean, bright, comfortable and well-appointed studio. Darlene and Joe were friendly and helpful, but also respectful of my privacy. I enjoyed the abundant ocean views from the studio and the lanai, which was a nice place to drink morning tea/coffee or unwind after work. I rarely used the air conditioning unit, as the fans and windows provided plenty of breeze, but it was a nice option to have. The neighborhood was peaceful, yet also convenient to downtown and beaches.

Great Ohana!

I stayed here during my travel RN contract and loved the property and location! Joe and Darlene are great hosts and make sure you feel safe and at home. Appliances are brand new, very luxurious feel to the unit, has AC for hot days, and spacious lanai with a fantastic view. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed staying here and how easy it was to get to town and to the hospital. You get what you pay for, if this property is available, don't pass it up! I would stay here again if I had the chance on another contract.

D & J are excellent hosts that make you feel right at home from the start! I ended up extending my stay at the Oasis with D & J and they were very flexible and accommodating. The studio is very well organized and clean with air conditioning which is rare in this area. There is a great view of the ocean from the windows and balcony where you can sit out and watch the sunset every night. Location is ideal, only a short drive to downtown and the beach. I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely miss calling this place home! Thanks D & J!

Beyond excellent home!

I had an amazing time living here during my clinical rotation at Kona. The place is very new and very well maintained with an amazing ocean view! I've seen whales a couple times too if you're staying during the winter time. D and J takes excellent care of the house and they are very quick in responding to text, email, and call. The location is perfect because you don't hear the traffic sound from the house, very quiet and calming environment. Honestly, there is nothing even mildly bad about this place in terms of location, hygiene, view, and the owners. You can rent the car with the house which is more preferred, and it is very good priced if you're planning to rent a car too. The house is very close to Kailua-Kona downtown area and also the beach, just 3min drive from the house to beach. All in all, I'm going to miss this place so much it gave me the best experience I can ever ask for. Thanks D and J!

A total refuge!

I could not recommend D and J's place enough. I had just moved to the island, and needed a place that met certain health needs I have. It was the perfect place to rest, recoup from flare ups, and work from home or from in town. It is beautiful and new, and without any toxic VOCs or mold (I am immunocompromised, and this is very hard to find on the island!). They have furnished it with high quality everything - from the bed to the pots and pans. The AC works wonderfully, and the view of the horizon is incredible. Location was awesome, about 3 miles from downtown Kona, and on a quiet street. They are the kindest people, and make you feel right at home while also honoring your privacy. They were communicative, supportive and flexible with needs that came up. I miss both them and the home - it was an absolute refuge for mind, heart and body. Anyone would be lucky to stay here!

The Perfect Everything

From the moment you walk onto the property to the moment you settle yourself into your private studio apartment, you feel at home. The location is perfect and near just about everything! The view is absolutely astonishing, with beautiful sunsets overlooking the pacific every night that you can watch from the balcony. I dont have anything bad to say about this place at all! Its just perfect in all the right ways! Also, the landlords will do everything and anything to make sure that you are welcomed and comfortable for your stay. If I ever needed something, I just sent a text and got an immediate response and a fix to my problem. Its honestly hard to find a honest and trustworthy landlord now a days, but you wont have to worry about J and D. Theyre amazing people and they care!
