House in Columbus, Georgia
Landlord Tenure: 2 years, 9 months
You cannot do better for a quiet, cute home so close to everything! This property is newly renovated and furnished with mid-century modern decor, and features a glass enclosed front porch. It is located on a quiet street close to public transport, a recreation area/park, and major routes to downtown Columbus and Fort Benning. It is wedged between three major shopping/restaurant districts and several hospitals/clinics. It is 0....
Great stay & location
I stayed here for almost 3 months while doing travel nursing work between the 2 Piedmont hospitals & it was the perfect spot. The house was clean & tidy & is exactly as advertised. The smart TV & laundry on site were a huge plus. Susan was prompt with any questions & the neighbors were also very friendly. Conveniently located within minutes to both hospitals, easy walk to the park for evening walks, movie theater, downtown, gym, groceries & everything really was super close. I would stay here again.
Absolutely loved the place
I moved in here with another second lieutenant for IBOLC and it was placed in such a convenient location, plenty to do in the surrounding area (I recommend MIZU Ramen) and plenty of grocery stores. It was also a super easy commute to base since you just hop right on 185 after just a few turns. The property itself was great, nice back yard to have bonfires, dry our gear out, and play with the cats. Susan was absolutely the best landlord I've ever had always answering super quickly and getting us a new dryer within two days of us reporting a problem. If you have a roommate selected, I can't recommend this place enough.
Great Location & House
We stayed at Walnut Cottage and at another property managed by the same landlord when we moved to the area and were house hunting. Highly recommend. The house was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. It is in a nice safe, quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. It was near my work and in a very convenient spot close to everything. Susan always responded quickly. When the kitchen light started to flicker, she brought an electrician and waited in the house while he fixed it. She also attended to a sticky lock on the kitchen door the same day I messaged her.
Beware of Mold Issues and Security Deposit Deductions
I initially planned to rent this property for a year but left early due to unresolved mold and moisture issues in the bathroom. Despite being informed, the landlord failed to address the root cause, making the space unlivable. Communication became uncomfortable and condescending. Be sure to document everything because she made significant, questionable deductions from the security deposit and does not provide itemized receipts for the charges. Avoid hanging anything on the walls; although not mentioned in the lease, youll be charged steep fees for minor nail holes. Pre-existing floor damage was also blamed on me. Proceed with caution.
