Room - Condo in Puyallup, Washington
Landlord Tenure: 3 years, 1 month
The condo is well named as Park Place Condos. Mine is the end unit which overlooks the pond and center park area. Across the street is DeCoursey Park which has a larger fishpond, playground area and picnic area. Clarks Creek runs alongside of it, where we can see salmon coming and going from their spawning grounds. The fish hatchery is in the neighborhood. Behind the condos is Clarks Creek Park which has tennis courts, exer...
Townhouse style condo, overlooking pond and park with lots of hiking trails. This is a 5-minute drive to our small downtown area of library, grocery, antique shops, restaurants, and post office. I am 1.7 miles from Good Samaritan Hospital and 7 miles to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. The fast train link to Seattle, called the Sounder, is a five-minute drive as well.
A Peaceful Place in Puyallup
I recently moved out after a short stay in the summer for a travel assignment. The host made me feel at home right away. She was delightful to be around, easy to communicate with, went out of her way to be accommodating of my needs, and was very respectful of my space throughout my stay. She was very encouraging of my hobbies and allowed me the space to cook, paint, and exercise. She is a very involved member of the community, very involved with her family, and will keep you in the loop and engaged with what is happening in the area. The neighborhood is very peaceful. I would often go for runs or bike rides enjoying the beautiful summer weather and being in awe of Mt. Rainier, which is just visible from the back deck of the host's apartment. There are two parks within steps of the entrance of the housing complex that offer beautiful trails, a playground, and a pickleball court. The fairgrounds are about a 15-20 walk from the apartment. Downtown Puyallup is about a 10-15-minute bike ride. I could not have imagined a better place to stay during my Tacoma assignment. I guarantee your stay here will be one to remember.
A Peaceful Place to Call Home
I recently moved out after living here for 6 years. The owner of the house is such a joy to live with. Her life is filled with volunteering, going to special events, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is a life long learner and we have had some great talks, mind you she is often out and about so we dont run into each other very often. She is very respectful, generous, and honest. She congratulated me on my wins and gave me space when I was tired or down. Very easy to talk to but also comfortable with silence. The space is so peaceful. I loved walking around the pond which is a 2 minute walk from the house. Or if I wanted a longer hike I could visit Clarkes creek, which was 5 minutes away, and immerse myself in the forest, I also enjoyed riding my bike downtown to get a coffee or go to the farmers market. The neighbors are also very friendly and look out for one another. A Beautiful drive past farm lands to get to the freeway.
