We have two apartment units, each has its own entry from the private courtyard that is shared with the apartments. The Loft, with it's brick motif, called by some, a "Solo Sanctuary", is upstairs above the garage, and our charming Cottage is on the main level with a view of the river. The large grassed backyard with a gigantic willow tree hugs the Yakima River, it's a beautiful setting any time of the year. We have Adirondack ...
If you desire to feel like you're on vacation, the Cottage might just be your place! It's cute and comfortable with large view windows that overlook the river taking advantage of our amazing sunsets. The courtyard just outside is the perfect space to lay back in a reclining lounge with a good book and a glass of wine in the summer, or on a cool evening, you might light up the firepit and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa. The kitchen a...
Our neighborhood is somewhat of a farming community, with each property at least 5 acres. It feels rural yet we're just minutes from the City and surrounding towns. The Yakima River is our backyard. Our guests enjoy the quiet evenings in the summer sitting out under the stars, by the firepit with a nice glass of wine (or a cup of hot cocoa).
Paradise in Tri-Cities
I cannot say enough about this property, the setting or the hosts! I stayed her for 1 year while working in Richland. S & D are the consummate hosts, always there to assist in any way. I felt like a truly valued family member while I was here. Tranquil setting right on the Yakima River, perfect place to watch the evening sunset, grill your favorite food, or float the river. Apt was perfect for me, comfortable and convenient to hospital, grocery, and other amenities. On 5 acres but still close in. As a cyclist, endless trails and bike paths to easily get anywhere in the tri-cities area. I'd highly recommend this property, and I can't wait to get back there when the opportunity presents itself again.
A little piece of paradise
I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 months while on a travel contract in the Tri-Cities and it will be a cherished memory forever. The suite is perfect for one person and it has the most amazing view of the pristine backyard and Yakima river. S and D are such amazing hosts, they felt like family for the time I spent there. They are there to help you with anything you may need and S will always let you know about all the markets and events happening in town while you're there so you don't miss out on the experience! The bed was very comfortable, I never once ran out of hot water, the air conditioning worked well through the summer and the heaters worked well once it started cooling off. The property, despite being very central, feels as though you're out in the country and it's very quiet and tranquil. I couldn't say enough good things about this place, I was so sad I wasn't extending because it meant I had to leave this little piece of heaven! If you have the chance to stay here, take it!
Beautiful and Peaceful!
My stay at The Cottage was wonderful! Dan and Sandy were very kind and attentive any time I needed something or asked for suggestions on places to eat or things to do, and were also very respectiful of my privacy. The location is great...just a short drive to stores and restaurants, yet while there, you feel like you're at your own riverfront getaway. The Cottage looks like it's been newly remodeled with rooms that are super clean and comfortable and have all of the amenities you might need. The guest's laundry room is just a yards away (super convenient). The patio is quiet and peaceful, a perfect place for a morning cup of coffee or dinner and a glass of wine while you enjoy a beautiful view of the river (and the sunset if you time it right). I can't say enough... I loved staying at The Cottage and if ever I'm back in the area, this is where I'll stay!
Don & Jean
We have stayed here multiple times. Dan and Sandy are great hosts. The Yakama River is beautiful and peaceful. You get to see wildlife and kayakers. Close to the golf courses and wineries we like.
Great stay
S was a wonderful host. The place is right next to the Yakima River. You'll see kayakers and people floating down river having a blast. The place had all the amenities I needed. Easy highway access for commutes but off the beaten path enough to relax. If I were ever in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. Thanks for your hospitality folks.
Guest House on the River - Just Wow!
What a lovely and peaceful place! Even though I was working, the tastefully appointed ADU and stunning grounds (on the banks of the Yakima River) made every day feel like vacation. S and D are gracious and helpful hosts, with recommendations for everything from local eats and wineries to more practical matters like where to get work done on my car. They took particular pains to give me very sage advice about how to go about finding options for finding a place to park my tiny home long-term. If you have the good luck to be able to stay here, you will savor every minute!
