Peaceful Hang
Marlys (owner) is very easy to work with, prompt in responding to issues, working out an agreement for long term stays, and reasonable with requests. The place itself is very peaceful, situated in a tiny community on the side of a hill near Canyon Lake. The house is well maintained, is in good shape, and has everything that is needed and wanted for a long term stay (just bring your toothbrush!). It is also quite spacious: 2 bedrooms in the lower floor with a good sized bathroom and a garage, and 1 bedroom upstairs with the kitchen, the master bath, and living room. The pictures posted and description on FF and AirBnB are accurate. Both floors have a beautiful deck. One really nice feature of this house: access to the top floor is possible thru the front door at the street level (one small parking spot located there) OR direct access to the lower level thru the garage and generous driveway. There is also a local grocery store close by (though small), a local short hiking trail in the community, access to the lake about 2 blocks away, a nice county park at the nearby dam (driving distance), and a beautiful drive by the river. We felt very safe on this street location, even though there are still some houses that look abandoned or still in progress of being built. I would highly recommend this as a long term stay if the location near the lake and on the side of hill is what you want. It was about a 20-30 minute drive to New Braunfels itself (though a beautiful drive).
