Perfect for our temporary stay

My partner and I stayed here for about 3 months. This unit was perfect for us a short-term rental while we found a more permanent residence after moving to the area. Michael and Bethanie are excellent hosts and I would definitely recommend them. They are good communicators, very quick to address any issues or answer questions, and try to make the rental experience as pleasant and easy as possible. My favorite thing about the unit is that it felt very "ready out of the box" for us. There was a handmade guide to the local area and unit, well-supplied kitchen, and stock of cleaning supplies and miscellaneous other things you may find yourself wanting (but not having) in a brand-new living space. Oh, and seeing their dog Niko once in a while was a treat too.

Centrally Located & Comfortable

We stayed in Michael and Bethanie's place for two months-- they are generous hosts with a great communication style. They are open and flexible navigating the use of shared spaces (driveway access, washer/dryer use, etc.), and have curated a clean, modern living space. The apartment is quite comfortable and is well-situated & walkable near North Oakland/South Berkley/Emeryville. For the noise-sensitive, be advised: the sounds of the neighborhood are amplified into this top-level apartment, and can be unsettling if you're unused to commotion.
