Our favorite rental

This home was a true gem. It was immaculate, comfortable, and felt like home from the moment we arrived. The breathtaking lake views from every room made every moment special. We loved being able to walk to the beach and harbor, while still being just a short drive from fantastic beaches, markets, restaurants, and local attractions. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay.

This house is just as it's named - a lakefront oasis!

I was so lucky to be able to stay at Russell and Taylor's absolutely charming historic home on Schwann Lake. The house is situated in such a way that you have views from every room, including the shower! You can watch the sunrise each morning that the bird life throughout the day. There's a private pathway that leads to the ocean just a block away where in the winter months you'll catch the most gorgeous sunsets in Santa Cruz. There's the best fresh fish shop just a few blocks away, where you can buy fresh catch of the day. The house is truly a peaceful respite just blocks away from lots of restaurants and the activity of Santa Cruz. The owners take great care of their guests.

Cozy Lake Cottage

I had an awesome stay here! The place is super cozy, and the views of the lake, along with watching the variety of birds, made this place very special. The bed was really comfy, and the fast wifi made working from home easy and is perfect for gaming. The owner and their family were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. It's in a quiet spot but still within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach, so you really do get the best of both worlds!

Schwan Lake Oasis

Charming, relaxing stay in the middle of Santa Cruz. We could not be more pleased with our stay here, from the beautiful nature surroundings to the high quality amenities- we could have stayed forever! Our hosts were generous and very helpful to make our stay pleasant. Warning, you will become a 'birder' if you move into Schwan Lake! The amount of wild life on the lake made it a challenge to enjoy the cozy indoors and comfortable bed! In addition to the beautiful lake, we were within walking distance to the ocean at Twin Lakes state beach, and many restaurants. A perfect stay and one we will never forget!

Absolutely wonderful!

Such a beautiful, special place. I would have stayed longer if I could. Awesome views, peaceful, and great location. Loved the outside deck. The owners and their family are lovely and so easy to communicate with.
