Quiet place, wonderful people
I stayed for 1 month in Thirza’s house and my experience was the best possible! Thirza is very kind, always helpful with her tenants, making you feel like home!
Holly’s room
The moment I saw the house it was pleasant, inviting, and peaceful feeling like home. Thirza is an amazing host not to mention the lovely francois. Thirza will accommodate you the best possible way. Also, you can ask her anything. I have a very lovely stay in her home. Plus, it has a friendly neighborhood where you can find coffee shops, near the botanical garden and tower grove park. THIRZA helped me a lot while adjusting to the US life. I’ll be forever grateful for you T.
tenant review
This location is peaceful and quiet, great place to stay if in the area. T & Francis is a very nice person and welcomes you to this location with open arms.
Keys to comfort
Thirza and Frances, her charming dog, exceeded my expectations in providing an exceptional accommodation experience. Convenient parking allowed for seamless exploration of St. Louis's top attractions. The location was within walking distance to Sasha's wine bar, The Range restaurant, and a corner convenience store. Thirza's kitchen was perfect for home-cooked meals, card games, and study sessions around her handcrafted dining table. I was fortunate to stay in Holly's Home room, complete with a private bathroom. The design was clean, organized, and effortlessly livable, fostering a sense of calm that sparked creativity. I cherished opening my curtains to reveal the ever-changing beauty of Thirza's garden. Thirza's warm hospitality made me feel like part of the family, and I eagerly anticipate returning to her home, where wisdom, kindness, and compassion thrive.
Great host!
I spent the last month (October-November) at Thirza's home. Her home was a quiet place to unwind after a hectic day at work. She was a great host, clean, considerate, accommodating and hospitable. I would absolutely recommend this destination to a friend if they were staying in St. Louis. Francis (her poodle) was great company too!
Great spot and great host!
Thirza and Frances were very hospitable and accommodating hosts, creating a warm and inclusive environment and living situation. The house itself is also charming and homely, decorated with various fun, eccentric souvenirs and mementos. All of this for such an affordable price too. This was truly a lucky find!
Ideal Living Experience
If you are searching for temporary housing in St. Louis, there is no one better than Thirza. She goes above and beyond to ensure you feel comfortable, heard, and properly accommodated throughout the duration of your stay. From keeping you updated on latest events in the area to attend to making the occasional dinner to connect with you, she makes the utmost effort to know you by name and story. Cant recommend enough!!!
Amazing stay!
10/10 Highly recommend staying with Thirza. It's a quiet neighborhood and a very beautiful area. There's good food and coffeeshop options nearby and Thirza has a list of best recommendations for local food, coffee, ice cream and touristy things to do locally. Parking is good here. The house is beautiful and rooms are comfortable. She shares a lot of kitchen items so home cooking and meal prepping is very easy here. Beautiful garden that I loved to sit and have coffee or just enjoy in mornings. And she always replaced handpicked flowers for the rooms from her garden. Her and Francis are such warm and welcoming hosts. I extended and will reapply whenever I need to come back to St Louis. I cannot recommend her enough.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I have nothing but great things to say about Thirza and the property! Thirza (and Francis!) is a wonderful, welcoming host and has thought of everything you might need during your stay. The property is lovely with a beautiful garden and is filled with historic pieces of art and literature. The neighborhood is charming with several cute shops and restaurants and is ideally located near the hospitals and among other quaint neighborhoods. I would without question stay here again. Highly recommended!
Great Stay!
T went out of her way to make sure I felt welcomed and had an amazing stay in her home. She is such a kind and gracious host, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a place to stay in the STL area. Very convenient location, 10 min drive to almost anything you could want, and near the botanical garden. And her dog Francis is the best!
Safe, cute neighborhood with very kind host!
I had such a lovely stay with T in her home; she was so welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience! I really appreciated the beautiful backyard, safe neighborhood, lots of street parking, and being walking/biking distance to many cute spots nearby (botanical gardens, coffee shops, wine bar, ice cream, Tower drive park, etc.) I would absolutely stay here again!
A Magical Stay
Staying at T's place during my first travel nursing assignment was a blessing. Though I was far from home, T ensured that I felt at home and comfortable in this new environment. T would always check in with me if I needed something from the grocery store and offered a helping hand whenever she could, which I greatly appreciated. The rooms are also pretty neat. I stayed at the Cherry Blossom Boudoir, and though I had to pay extra, it was still worth it because the room was spacious enough for me to exercise. Plus, having a local like T show me around the neighborhood helped out a lot. This specific location is also great as it is at the center of all the fun stuff in the area. If you love antiquing, there are plenty of great antique/vintage stores nearby. If you love Italian food, The Hill is only a couple of minutes away! It's also a walking distance from the Botanical Gardens, which allowed me to unwind and appreciate nature. I highly recommend this space.
Amazing Host.
Super recommendation of Safari Suite in a Historic Home to all those visiting St. Louis. I have indeed had a delightful stay. From the moment we connected via Furnished Finder, T has been truly sweet, caring, and hospitable with super helpful recommendations on how to maximize my adventure in St. Louis. Her Safari Suite is so cozy, clean, and comfortable located in a quiet and safe neighborhood with good proximity to interesting places to visit like the Missouri Botanical Garden. It was indeed a pleasure being hosted by such a kind soul. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.
lovely environment
I had the pleasure of a short stay at T's place. She is an amazing lady with lovely stories and so welcoming. From the moment I walked in she and Francis (the poodle) welcomed me. She has an amazing home and the garden in the back is gorgeous. She does have a pet allergy as mentioned which is why I didn't stay longer. I overlooked that in the description. Her home is close to the Botanical gardens and several cute little shops, def a 10 on the walkable scale. The home has a wonderful energy, T is a caring and kind host.
