Why is my review highlighting a seemingly small detail?Because that one minute detail says volumes about this unit. It is well thought out, well-appointed, and well... Swell. Kat (the owner) really built this out for a cozy homey Seattle stay. Large windows allow lots of daylight (absolutely KEY for the number of overcast days we get). It's well insulated, and has heat/AC, which means even though it's a basement, you aren't freezing your tush off. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and basics for making your own food. It is clear that this unit is built out for real LIVING in mind, not thrown together as an afterthought. Good quality towels, appliances, comfy mattress (not a cheapo-junky one) etc etc etc the list goes on. Great unit for someone wanting a quiet retreat to return to after a big day. Kat and the neighbors are very much neighborly - so you'll feel well taken care of here. PS: it's MEGA close to Greenlake, I mean, like 2 minutes walking. That's a huge perk.
