A $300 non refundable cleaning fee will be collected for professional cleaning of the carpets and couches at the end of the lease. This is in addition to the security deposit of $2,000. Landlord Violates Rental Laws
Rented for 10 months, had awful experience.Summary below because of character limit -Increased rent from listed $2,400 to $3k. Claimed to do this because of # of people & impact on utilities (3 adults & 1 child) -Makes you sign House Rules on the spot (not in lease) -Complained many times about day-to-day living noises because she lives below -Expected us to pay for higher utility bills, even after increasing rent. She shared bills with us & we did the math. She still had a net profit of over $200/month based on the $600/month increase she imposed -We asked to extend lease by 4 months. Would only extend our lease if we met her new conditions, & most were illegal. Minimum extension of 7 months, increasing rent by $1k/month, retroactive rent at increased rate of $4k/month (expected $7k because we were on month 7 of lease), & paying for all future utilities. Her rent hike of $1k & demanding retroactive rent do not follow Seattle rental laws -Overcharges for security deposit & cleaning fee
Stay in Ballard
I stayed here for a few months, Margo was a great host! The place is clean and has everything you need. Nice backyard to eat/chill at and a few minutes walk to the Ballard HS track.
Excellent spot
Great place to stay. Lovely lady that runs it. Very easy going and responsive. I would stay here again.
