Perfect place for students or medical professionals!

This is the perfect place for a long-term or short-term stay for any student or medical professional. The rent is very reasonable for the location, and it is tough to find a better deal. Within walking distance is a supermarket, a Goodwill, restaurants, and a convenience store. For the medical professionals, UAB Hospital is about a 5-minute drive away. The neighborhood is very safe and perfect for a morning or evening walk/run. Julie is very respectful of your schedule, which allows for a quick nap, study session, or meditation at any time. Julie provides all the commodities one needs during their stay, including a morning surprise. Bonus points for the conversations with Julie, she is such an interesting person, and you are sure to learn something new in every conversation.

I had a wonderful experience staying at J's rental. The space was extremely clean, well-furnished, and exactly as described in the listing. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood felt safe, with a grocery store nearby and UAB just a few minutes away by the local cab service (only $1.50!). J is a fantastic host - always accommodating and happy to help with any questions. She went out of her way to help me set up a spot at her place where I could take my interviews, which I really appreciated. The living room is very spacious, and the two massage chairs are amazing, perfect for binging shows and movies. J and her cat, Klaus, are great company, making the stay even better. Highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a hassle-free, comfortable stay. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great Location and Exceptional Host!

I stayed at this property for four weeks and booked the largest room, which was conveniently closest to both the kitchen and the bathroom. The house is incredibly spacious, which adds to the comfortyou never feel cramped. Everything inside the room and throughout the house was well-maintained and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities needed for cooking your own meals. The location is perfect if you want quick access to downtown, and there are four parks nearby, perfect for a walk, especially after work or in the morning! Having a supermarket just a 3-minute walk away makes life in Birmingham much easier. Overall, my stay here was filled with positive memories! I highly recommend it! The host is very kind, always willing to help with anything, and her positive attitude really adds to the overall experience!

Very comfortable stay, wonderful Host

I stayed here for 6 weeks and would like to share my great experience with everyone. The place is very comfortable and has everything you need. Julie is a wonderful host who keeps everything very clean and organized. She even cleans and changes the sheets in the bedroom regularly. She is always ready to help with anything you require. I stayed in the James room, which is very spacious and cozy. The lighting is excellent, and I was able to complete a lot of my work using the desk provided in the room. It also has a large dresser and a closet, providing plenty of storage space. The kitchen is spotless, fully furnished, and equipped with everything you need to cookkitchenware, an oven, a microwave, a mixer, a dishwasher, and more. Although the bathroom is shared, I didnt have any problems during my stay. It is kept tidy at all times. The living room is very cozy and spacious, with a huge TV where I watched many movies and series during my time here. Julie has an amazing collection of movies, and I enjoyed binging shows with her on the recliner. There's also a large balcony with chairs where you can relax and have your coffee while enjoying a peaceful view. Location: The apartment is located in a very safe area; I never had any concerns about safety during my stay. There's also a supermarket just a 3-minute walk away, which is very convenient. It's close to UAB, where I went for my clinical rotations. On-demand Birmingham offers a ride service that picks you up right in front of the apartment and drops you off anywhere at UAB for only $2, which is amazing. Besides all this, I really enjoyed Julie's company. She is an amazing, friendly woman who goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable in the house. If you need someone to talk to, she is always there for you.

A very nice, comfortable room. J is a great hostess, very personable and accommodating. Location is central to everything - shopping, restaurants, parks, hospitals. I enjoyed my stay very much and definitely recommend.

Amazing Location and Amazing Host

I came to Birmingham as a grad student for a 3 month clinical rotation at UAB and I could not have asked for a better place to stay during my time here. J is a wonderfully generous and accommodating host who goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. She is everything you want in a housemate- a great communicator, respectful of your schedule, cares about the things that matter, shrugs the small stuff, and is hilarious to boot. If you need recommendations on activities or restaurants she's got plenty! The house is adorable and very quiet, with a great kitchen that I did lots of cooking in. My room had everything I needed during my stay and was comfy and cozy. I fell in love with the neighborhood! It was safe, the neighbors were friendly, the supermarket was a 3 minute walk down the street, and there were plenty of gorgeous walks to be had. I had a 5 minute commute to UAB with no freeways or traffic. All in all a super dreamy and easy place to be!

Prime location, stress free, many perks

You have a lovely apartment with beautiful furnishings. I have enjoyed my stay during my 3-month treatment at Russell Clinic at UAB. I can be there dressed, parking and walking two and a half blocks in about 18 minutes total. It is so convenient. I looked at a lot of other places on this site and they're farther away. It's 20 or 30 minute drive and many not in very safe areas. Please check out safety first. I live just outside Birmingham, but it was more of a drive than I wanted to make on a daily basis. Julie was fantastic. This is a stress-free drama free environment. It was wonderful to stay there. She provides the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soaps, laundry and does the housekeeping and sheets weekly. There's a coffee bar with everything you could possibly want or need there. The bed is incredibly comfortable. Sheets are exquisite and my rest was more than expected. My healing was greater than 50% in 2 months versus the four years I've had my issue by being here. As described.
