This is a private bedroom in a large, spacious house. We are a ten-minute walk to the Summit train station into NYC, a five-minute walk to the Summit Overlook Medical Center hospital, and directly across the street from an NJ transit bus stop. The room is in the basement of the house, and has a large window that lets in a lot of light. This puts the bedroom in a different floor from the other bedrooms and the main thoroughfares, giving it more privacy. There is a full bathroom in the basement that is shared but almost entirely used by the tenant. There is another living room in the basement, with a kitchenette.
Neighborhood overview
Summit is a quiet town with a thriving downtown. Summit has a train station with a direct line into NYC. The immediate neighborhood has many excellent walking areas, including Bryant Park, the Reeves arboretum, and the Watchung reserve. All of these are easy walking distance from the house. Overlook Medical Center is a quarter mile down the road, overlooking the area.

Wonderful 9 month stay
Andrew and his partner are great hosts. I stayed for school and I found the apartment quiet, pleasant, and a conducive place to work uninterrupted. They were very accommodating with my requests and actively made sure that I was comfortable. I was able to park my car easily and come and go through the separate entrance. Would highly recommend you stay here if you need to stay in this area.

Great place
Andrew and Lance were amazing hosts. I am a travel Nurse and work nights. Andrew installed blackout curtains for me and the room was quiet and dark for sleeping during the day. I stayed here for over three months and they were great hosts. The house is always clean. I would book again if I am in the area in a heart beat !
