House in Mesilla, New Mexico
Landlord Tenure: 4 years, 1 month
Two bedroom historic adobe home in the heart of Mesilla. The property is secured for pets, chain link and wooden fence all around. I'm a traveling midwife and have designed it specifically for travelers: a fully stocked and equipped kitchen for meal prep and cooking, functional and secure, safe spaces, comfortable queen sized mattresses on platform bed frames with blackout curtains for sound sleep. The bedrooms are next door to ...

Lisa is a phenomenal hostess. The house is lovely inside and out. Had a wonderful 6 month stay here.
Absolute Gem
Casa de Luz is wonderful! I stayed here for a couple months and could have stayed for several more. Mesilla itself is lovely, and everyone is kind. L is a wonderful host and communicative. The home has everything you need to relax and feel comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches. Both beds are comfortable and supportive, the shower is great, tons of natural light, fast internet (and I work from home and never ever had any issue), any kitchen gadget and cookware you may want (great All Clad pots/pans), smart TV, enough blankets, towels, and a great backyard. My dog LOVED the big backyard and taking long walks all around Mesilla. Also, the BEST green chile enchiladas (in my opinion) are right across the street at Andele's/Andele's Dog House. Mesilla, Las Cruces, and the surrounding area are magical, and L has created such a peaceful home and space to be.
Happy Place
I stayed here for a few days with 3 other people while traveling for a funeral. This home was truly our happy place over what was a very emotional time... It's bright, cheerful and decorated with all sorts of positive and zen-inspiring decor. There's a great outdoor space with lights & a hammock - a perfect spot for morning coffee, reading a book, or having a drink and enjoying fresh air. The location is right next to a restaurant/bar, and 2 blocks away from Mesilla which has cute stores, a great coffee shop, delicious food and drink options & galleries... Honestly, I'd move here permanently if I could! Absolutely loved it and hoping it will be available for our future visits to the area!
