Beautiful house in a convenient location
I stayed at the Ebeling house for an extended time period. The house is very clean, bright and extremely quiet. Most of the tenants upstairs and downstairs are healthcare workers, which is nice because they are quiet and very respectful. The owner is very responsive and she supplies items that other homes wouldn’t offer. One day I forgot my passcode to get in early in the morning. I messaged her and she replied within seconds and I was in the house within a minute. She provides cleaning service which is great. Lastly the area. While Syracuse has some pretty rough areas, this particular area isn’t bad. The house is conveniently located near all major hospitals and is within walking distance to the downtown area. Having been in this house for almost 2 years, I can confidently say the area is safe. If your in the area for school, work, or just passing through, this place will serve as a quiet, safe, and convenient place to be centrally located in the heart of Syracuse.
Clean, close to Hospitals
I stayed in the Edward room for an entire year. The location is ideal if working at either St. Joes or SUNY, both within a couple minutes drive. Alison was very responsive and easy to connect with, and quickly addressed any issues/concerns. The apartment was extremly clean. Plenty of parking on the street. The neighborhood isnt considered the best, but i never felt unsafe. I would definitely stay here again if i return to Syracuse.
Excellent housing
I stayed at this house which was made me feel at home. The house was fully prepared for a great living experience for traveling personnel. The landlord was very friendly organized and helpful to fix any problems .quickly. Security of the property was excellent. I only left because my contract ended. I also invited other colleagues who had a great experience. Living space was excellent and amenities were available and price was affordable.
Review
First off Alison is a very professional landlord who responds timely to all concerns. She makes sure that basic household needs are addressed such as a clean house, fresh linen and lots of towels for her tenants. This property is exactly as pictured with a fantastic view of the city especially at nights. Ebeling House is central to everything in Syracuse. I worked as a travel nurse across various shifts and my roommates who walked to work never complained about feeling unsafe. I enjoyed my stay there, had no issues and remained unbothered because no one bothers you. All the tenants got along really well we even shared meals. During the winter season Michael ensures that the snow is shoveled promptly. This property is my go to in Syracuse. Thanks Alison for a great stay and being an exceptional landlord. jw
Review
The place is really quite nice on the inside. Alison is a solid landlord, easy to communicate with and receptive to issues when they arise. The price is fair for the area and you are very close to St. Joes. The neighborhood is urban so you are going to see some unhoused folks out and about. Glad to have stayed there for the time
Clean and equipped
Loved my stay in this property. Landlord was quick to respond to any concerns. She hires professional cleaners to tidy up the place. Felt safe inside the house, there's smart lock and video for the surroundings.
Best long term stay in the area
As a travel tech on a long-term assignment, finding a reliable home base is a top priority, and this property exceeded all my expectations. The place is exactly as shown in the photos; organized, clean and very modern. There were no "surprises" upon arrival; what you see is truly what you get. Communication with the landlord was seamless. Alison was incredibly accommodating and always ready to assist with any questions I had throughout my stay. It's clear she takes great pride in maintaining the property and ensuring her tenants are comfortable. This stay made my transition to a new city so much easier. This property has my highest recommendation for any healthcare or tech professional looking for a high-quality, stress-free housing option!
Clean,Safe,Professional
Great property for a travel nurse to rest. Property is safe and secure. Very clean. The owner is Professional and fair. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!
Great space for the price!
The room was just as it is pictured as is the rest of the home and there was a housekeeper that came in to clean the home/common areas regularly. I was there during the winter and the neighbor made sure the driveway and sidewalk was shoveled each snow fall. The location is between 2 main hospitals in Syracuse which made it great for transit as I personally didn't have a car during my stay. I walked from the home to work every shift and so did my roommates at the time. The neighborhood is a little rough however I NEVER had any issues walking to and from work (I worked night shift). The home is also equipped with bright outdoor lights and outdoor cameras that you have access to view during your stay which was very helpful and made me feel much safer as this is something I'm use to having at my own home. Alison was always just a text or phone all away if I needed anything. My deposit was returned promptly upon checkout. I would stay with Alison again if there is a room available.
Great apartment!
I rented two different rooms from this apartment and loved both of them! I had a great experience with this apartment and the tenants and landlord. The tenants were so nice and very respectful. The house is in downtown Syracuse which is definitely an up and coming area. I never had an issue and always felt safe. There are some homeless people in the area, but my car was always parked on the street and I never had any issues ever. I worked nights and so I would sleep during the day and I never heard any loud noises outside. I think the pictures on here look exactly like the apartment. The landlord was very attentive to anything we needed. I stayed here for about 6 months. I got my security deposit back no problem. I definitely recommend this apartment
Unsafe neighborhood
I've traveled as a nurse since 2019 without issues ever. This house is in an unsafe area, crackheads at the end of the street. Neighbors screaming at each other at night. One house next door is abandoned with crack heads living in it, the other was raided by NYS police at 4am one night. The driveway is caving in, but the landlord was charging other tenants an extra 100 dollars a month to park in it, despite knowing how unsafe the neighborhood is. Also, I moved out December 22 and she's refusing to send my security deposit back. I went there to sleep and shower. Never cooked or utilized anything else besides the bed and shower. So once 14 days hits of her withholding my security deposit, she'll have to be taken to small claims court for refusing to send my security deposit back. Save yourself the headache and uncertainty of staying in this apartment. It also looks nothing as pictured.
