Well maintained. Nicely appointed. Great owner. Ideal location.
When we arrived, all the lights were on, heat was turned up, and the owner was here to give a tour. It gets better, he had arranged some dinner and drinks for us because he knew that we were arriving on a one way 15 hr flight. Fast forward 5 months, we can truly say this owner delivers everything he advertises. The bungalow has 2 comfortable bedrooms. The 2 bathrooms, while modest, are clean. Showers have strong water pressure with plenty of hot water.The kitchen is outfitted with every imaginable utensil, cookware, tableware,etc. Parking: 1 in garage +1 off street.Washer and dryer work great.There's 6 ceiling fans and central A/C. Wi--fi is fast and stable. There's a private back yard for chilling & grilling.Within a 10-15 min. walking radius there can be found a choice of cafes, a legit tavern, two local grocers, one dive bar, farmers market, parks, trail heads. Enjoyable, efficient &stress free. Would I recommend this home to a friend? For sure. Would I live here again? Absolutely.
Easy Walking Distance, Lovely Home
We found the property at 717 E. Market St. in Iowa City to be comfortable, cozy, and loaded with character. It blends the characteristics of manageable size with a sense of spaciousness. Most of its original features remain, such as beautiful woodwork throughout and French doors that enclose a sung and cheerful sunroom. Recently updated, the kitchen has plentiful storage space making it easy to keep things tidy and organized. The house is near the city bus line, but for those working in or near the downtown area, the location is perfect for walking or biking to work. It is also within walking distance of the many popular restaurants, fun shops, and entertainment venues that Iowa City has to offer. Our stay here was enhanced by the old trees that line the streets and the safe and quiet neighborhood feel that made evening walks a real pleasure.
