Beautiful and Safe neighborhood and room in Downey

An absolute blessing!

I cannot express enough how much of a pleasure it was to rent a room in Js home. The space itself is charming, spacious, cozy - and to be on a dead end street in a quiet neighborhood (with kind and helpful neighbors!), close to major highways was a dream. Aside from that, J was an absolute gem of a roomie. As a young woman moving to California on her own, stumbling into renting out Js spare bedroom was such a safe space to have landed. She is incredibly hospitable, accommodating, respectful of privacy, and generous to the core. I would highly recommend the space on its own as it is perfect for one person, but truly cannot recommend specifically renting from J enough. She made my move to a new (and large!) city feel small and welcoming. I am forever grateful for the two years I spent in her home and as her roommate. PS: The backyard is an oasis too - perfect for decompressing after a long day or simply to have some time to yourself!
