Great Location!
Jim & Celia were wonderful hosts! My husband and I stayed here recently for a contract at VCU, and we had a great time. The apartment is centrally located, within walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shops. I walked to VCU to save money on parking & it felt pretty safe for being in the middle of downtown. It was a little less than a mile, and the back roads were typically pretty quiet in the mornings. There are three separate doors from the entrance to your apartment that require key-codes or a physical key, so it also felt safe in that aspect. Off-street parking is pretty safe, and conveniently located. The hosts came to introduce themselves upon our arrival, and were very present during our time in Richmond. They showed us around the area & were very quick to respond during any issues we had during our stay. The apartment has two separate rooms, but there are large open spaces above each bedroom. My husband worked from home, so it made taking meetings a little difficult on the days that I was off work, but it was manageable. Would just keep this in mind if you have multiple people staying in one unit. We had a dog and cat with us, and both adjusted well. There is a little grassy area near the parking lot for quick pet relief on busy days, and a park a few blocks away.
