Apartment in Spokane, Washington
Landlord Tenure: 5 years, 10 months
This is a beautiful 1908 craftsman style restored two story home with plenty of charm and character, with a separate 2 bedroom basement apartment. There is a small patio with table and chairs out back that can be used. The main home is also rented to travelling nurses so it is a quiet house.
Basement apartment with it's own entrance, high ceilings with plenty of light. Nicely decorated, kitchen well stocked, couch for lounging, dining table and breakfast bar.
Logan neighborhood, near Gonzaga university, just north of downtown. Walking distance to a bus stop, close to grocery store and restaurants, great location.
Great Property and Location
I am a travel nurse from Florida and traveled with my 16-year old son. Prior to arriving, Lisa was warm and welcoming. She met me at the property the day we arrived and ensured I knew where everything was and how everything worked in the home. She helped me set up a code for the keypad. She is easily reachable and extremely helpful! I reached out and asked if she had a blender or rice cooker. She brought both over for us to use during our stay! I appreciated having a private entrance, full kitchen, two bedrooms and a washer and dryer in the unit! Lisa and Dexter do a great job maintaining the property and communicating in advance. If I ever go back to Spokane, Id reach out and stay at her property again.
Home Away from Home
I never leave reviews but due to my stay here I will make an exception. I'm a travel nurse from Florida. I usually travel with my friend/travel buddy so we can split the cost down the middle as far as rent and car rental. This place was perfect as it was a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom. Washer and dryer was included, which added to the convenience. We worked at Providence Holy Family and Sacred Heart and the property was a 7 minute drive from each hospital. This is without taking any highways. The kitchen was full-sized so it was perfect to cook in. Each room had a queen size bed and had individual built-in heaters. Even when the temp drop to 28 degrees, i was still warm due to the heater. The hot water in the shower stayed hot even when I took a shower after my friend took a 20 to 30 minute shower. That was a plus. The home was clean and we had our own access code, which made us feel secure as women staying in a new unknown environment. The owner Lisa is responsive should any issues arise.
