Chris & Randy's Cottage

We stayed during the winter months in this cozy, warm, private cottage. As one tenant said, like you are in your own park! Lovely hosts, lovely home, lovely grounds, and friendly chickens with their own little cottage and yard. The location is perfect and very safe.

Cottage + Hosts

I stayed at Chris and Randy’s cottage from August through November 2025 while working as a travel nurse at Saint Alphonsus, and it couldn’t have been a more comfortable home-away-from-home. The unit is large, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to settle in for a longer stay. Their yard is beautiful it feels like you’re living in your own private park. I stayed there alone most of the time, but when my family came to visit, they immediately felt comfortable and at ease as well. Chris and Randy are incredibly kind hosts who genuinely care about their guests’ experience. I can’t over emphasize how easy they are to communicate with. Any small issue that came up was addressed immediately and with warmth. Everything about the stay was lovely, and I’d happily recommend their place—and Saint Alphonsus if you’re a nurse looking for a good assignment. It was truly a great experience all around :)

Beautiful place to stay

Amazing for the summer I was there, beautiful little house with everything I needed! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed, and plenty of room in the cottage for all my stuff. Very safe and quiet area, no complaints at all. Super close to downtown Boise and convenient access to meridian as well!

Wonderful place and people

Christine and Randy were so awesome. Very friendly and responsive and also gave privacy. The house was perfect and had everything I needed. The heater kept the house plenty warm in the winter and the bed is comfortable. The armoire had space to hang my clothes and two drawers. There is a storage area that had plenty of room for camping/sports equipment, shoes, and more hanger space. The area is safe and peaceful. Off street parking for one car, and plenty of street parking for guests. The location is just a few minutes to downtown and freeway access. I wish I could have stayed longer and I am so sad to leave, but work is taking me elsewhere. You will love your stay here.

Home away from home

The cottage is an amazing place to live! I stayed for a full year, and would have stayed longer if I didnt move. From day one it felt like home, really cozy and really safe! Its a great location, only few minutes to downtown, parks and the highway! The place has a lot of storage space and Its bigger than it looks! It truly has everything you need :) Christine and Randy were always there to help me if I needed anything, and it was a pleasure living next to them. I will miss this place dearly!
