As a first time traveling cardiovascular technologist, my stay at the South Avenue Nicoles house location in has truly been one of the best experiences Ive had. From the moment I booked, the hosts were incredibly communicative and professionalevery question I had was answered promptly, and they made sure I felt welcomed and prepared for my stay. The house itself was spotlessclean, tidy, and clearly maintained with great care. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the fully stocked kitchen complete with dishes, pots, and utensils, to the generous supply of laundry soap and cleaning essentials. These small touches made a huge difference during my extended stay and helped me feel right at home. Its clear the hosts take pride in offering a comfortable and well-equipped space. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and the effort they put into creating a relaxing, worry-free environment. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this home to any traveler looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay.
A lovely experience!
I was a travel nurse working at the nearby hospital and i loved my stay at NH! The hospital was within walking distance to the home. The owners were very friendly and good at communicating with me. They kept the house clean and it felt like a home away from home! Id definitely stay again :)
Can't go wrong near Strong
The house's exterior was kept up very well by the owners or contractors who would come to shovel snow or cut the lawn. I was there for 6 months and twice there was a professional cleaner on the interior but being that we were all adults it seemed like that was just a seasonal thing the owners did. The kitchen was clean 95% of the time, the owners were terrific about setting expectations given that multiple people were staying in the unit and they also stocked in with dishes, appliances (k cups yay!!), and cleaning supplies. The living room was quite cozy. I used it on the rare occasion that I did not want to eat at the kitchen counter, as a Netflix and chill spot when I had laundry going downstairs, and alternative nap spot to get me out of my room. Even with that I rarely saw my roommates but everyone was pleasant. The mudroom/sunroom has an additional fridge which is good because you may get roomies who are heavy shoppers and then there is no space or everyone eats out it just depends. This was usually where your roommate would leave your packages. I never had an issue with a porch pirate while staying at Harris House. Yes, they have security cameras. I did not get a chance to enjoy the pit or the gazebo while I was there but it added a lovely ambiance. There are a couple of trails in the area, it's close to Costco and around the corner from an outdoor shopping mall with your typical nail shop, post office (watch out for the fat lady she is mean), smoothie place, grocery store, and of course Starbucks coming soon if you don't want to go to the one across the street from the hospital. I stayed in the bedroom closest to the stairs on the 2nd floor. It was very spacious. I found the storage adequate; however, I think it lacked outlets. There was one on each side of the bed but they were not close to the bed so for your computer or wireless whatnot, etc, I had to run extension cords, I hate seeing cords. The bed also is against the window that faces the street so you can hear traffic if you are a light sleeper. I put up an additional barrier and had no problems. But if I stayed again and I would stay again I would have them help me move the bed against another wall so that it is closer to the outlet and also away from the window. The furnishing is modern. The bed itself was very comfortable and I appreciated the mattress being encased. The owners provide linens but I use my own so I can not speak to the quality of them only that when I got there they were on the bed and they were clean. I had the smaller of the two bathrooms upstairs. I liked that it has a window overlooking the backyard. I could get my daily weather report organically. It had good water pressure and a handheld shower head. The toilet also has a bidet. There was not a lot of storage space under the sink from a female perspective but its manageable for a travel nurse in Rochester because who are you really getting ready for? I stayed at Harris House starting in the winter and even without a car it was not a bad trek because it's near the hospital so the roads and sidewalks were clean. My walk was 20 minutes but I am a stroller by nature. Uber was typically 10 bucks.
A nice cozy stay
Ns home was very cozy! She supplied you with the basic needs of a home. It was very nice to have laundry in the unit and her home has two laundry rooms. I was working at Strong Memorial and it was less than a three minute drive to the hospital. The bedding was very comfortable. All of the appliances in the home and the homes condition were up-to-date. Nicole was very effective with communication. She was pleasant and friendly and granted any request as best she could about a month into my day. I inquired about one of her other rooms and she allowed me to transition to the requested room. it was very nice to stay somewhere so comfortable it felt like a home away from home if I do take a contract in Rochester again, I would stay with N!
