Don and Les's place was great! I stayed for 5 months while working on John's Island and loved every minute of it! Their cottage was perfectly set up with everything I needed for a comfortable stay! It was the perfect location for a safe, quiet stay while still being close enough to get to downtown Charleston, the local beaches and anywhere on the island. Don and Les addressed any questions or concerns I had very quickly and made sure I always had everything I needed. I can't recommend this property enough and if my travels ever bring me back to the area I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

This Simmons Creek Cottage is the Place

An honest review: I stayed longer than intended. A beautiful and convenient location just 10 minutes outside Charleston. Plenty of nature, fishing, crabbing, and boating available. Very private and secure - private driveway with gate. Perfect for a nature lover or someone needing a retreat. Quiet and far enough away from the hustle of the city. Amenities included: TV, Wi-Fi, new microwave, washer/dryer, spare room (adaptable to office or spare bedroom), bath/shower, etc. everything you need to live and maintain yourself and the place. Front deck is a great spot to sit outside and enjoy the weather and and relax. I would consider this cottage as disability friendly because it only has 2 steps up onto the front deck. I can't speak highly enough about the owners, they are very kind and down-to-earth people. Very knowledgeable about the area and a pleasure to speak with. They take great care and pride in maintaining the cottage and grounds - much appreciated. I would stay here again!
