Bad landlady

Please do not rent this place. She knew from the beginning that my contract ended in October but she put thru November on contract without my knowledge. She knew that I would possibly have a roommate due to traveler also coming to same place, she was ok with it until time came and she refused. So when looking for new place to share with traveler companion, I have her notice, now she wants to sue me o pay rent til dec 1st. She is not like by any neighbors on road, she has caused conflict with travelers who are renting from other people.

The tenants statements are inaccurate. Her own rental application, submitted voluntarily and signed, listed single applicant and the dates July 6 to November 28, 2025. The signed lease agreement, which she reviewed and SIGNED, reflected July 1 to November 30, 2025, with a disclosed minimum four-month stay. The rental was clearly for single occupancy, and she indicated that on her application. Only after living in the home for over a month did the tenant request to add a roommate. When I declined, given the agreed terms and reduced single-occupancy rate of $2,800 (discounted from the $3,500 listed rate and inclusive of all utilities and yard service), the tenant became upset and gave notice. Any suggestion that I altered dates without her knowledge or agreed to a roommate are false. I maintain professional relationships with all renters and uphold lease agreements in good faith.
