Bay View Basement Apartment

Travelling by myself, visiting Coos Bay for the first time, I had an excellent experience staying in this basement apartment. The place was clean, private, and cozy. The view from the windows was spectacular with the trees, hills, and bay. I felt safe and had everything I needed to be comfortable. The location was great too. I could walk to the boardwalk and to Mingus park. I would definitely stay here again if I return to the area.

The unit was well decorated, very stylist with a beach coastal theme throughout. The king bed was comfortable and the kitchen/ dining room area was large and also comfortable with natural lighting. The bathroom area was well decorated, modern, but the Shower was small and elevated. I needed to place small step stool by the showers entrance. The water pump used makes grinding sound after flush and definitely noticeable. Unit is bit cold at times, Portable heater helped. Neighborhood was quiet, unfortunately trash is collected at 4am on Tuesdays. The unit needed more insulation. You'll hear almost all the movement and noises, Had to use white noise to drown out. No direct view of lake, unless you're using the upper part of house and the balcony area. There were too many trees blocking the view.

This is the cutest apartment with the best landlords! The apartment has everything you need to make this space your temporary home. There's a great view of Coos Bay and the quaint town has lots to offer. The LL is very respectful and quick to respond should you have any issues and if you are lucky, you may get to have dinner with them!
