Cozy Bemis Bungalow!
The Bemis Bungalow is delightful! I lived there for 18 months (January 2023 to August 2024) and my favorite things were the coziness of the space and the proximity to everything! This area is extremely walkable with easy access to the lovely Rose Memorial Garden and beautiful Sterne Park. The park has a lovely lake with ducks and geese, is surrounded by a running creek, playground, trees, and walking paths. Downtown Littleton is nearby with lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and retail spaces on the charming Main Street. I loved living in the basement because I felt safe and secure in the space, yet still able to open the windows and enjoy the backyard and firepit. The basement consists of a bedroom (with a full-size bed, dresser, nightstand, mirror, and 2 small windows); a living room (with a comfy couch, shelves, and 3 windows); a bathroom (with soaking tub and window); and a laundry area (behind french doors with another window behind the shared washer/dryer). The entire space is newly carpeted and painted with fantastic new flooring. Going up the stairs, you can either exit to the beautiful backyard or enter the kitchen. The kitchen is small but sufficient with a microwave, refrigerator, and gas oven/stove. The owner travels a lot so it was easy to share the kitchen and laundry space. The backyard is fantastic and mostly private with a large deck for lounging. Parking is available in the back alley or in front of the house, on Bemis Street. Additionally, I really liked the convenience of the digital keypad on the front door. I was only here a short time, but it was perfect for what I needed.
