Cozy and Comfortable

We lived at Cardinal Cottage for six months while we searched for a house to buy in Richmond. We felt so comfortable and at home there. Elaine and Bob are kind and responsive landlords. The house is fully stocked with kitchen equipment, first aid supplies, basic tools, and even a full sewing kit. Our favorite spot was the sunroom and we, and our dogs, really enjoyed the beautiful backyard and patio. The proximity to Pony Pasture and the James River Park System cannot be beaten. The house is close to many good restaurants, grocery stores, farmers markets, and museums.

Review of Cardinal Cottage

Our stay in Cardinal Cottage was absolutely delightful and wonderful experience. The owners, Elaine and Bob are attentive and considerate hosts who made us feel welcome and responded quickly to questions and concerns. The cottage is comfortably furnished, and the kitchen is very well equipped. The cottage is et up for working from home or curling up with a good book. There are several very comfortable seating areas and the library has a very diverse offering of books. We also enjoyed the location of Cardinal Cottage. Our two dogs were safe and comfortable in the fully fenced yard. We and the dogs also spent a lot of time hiking the trails in the linear parks along the James River. The entrance to these extensive trails is only a block and a half from the cottage. We found that the location was very convenient, close to many amenities and attractions that we visited (museums, parks, brew pubs etc.) There are several grocery stores nearby including some within walking distance.

LOVE this Special place

We had so much fond and special memories from our stay at the Cardinal Cottage. Not only its fully furnished the house is so cozy and heartwarming. Elaine and Bob are always available whenever you need them. They are super caring and friendly. We are literally 5 mins walk away from the James river hiking trail and minutes drive to our favorite spots like Galley and crossroads. Its absolutely the best spot to have it all for someone like us who newly relocated to Richmond.

We stayed at this beautiful home. Fantastic location, beautifully furnished, and the best landlords. Elaine and Bob are awesome landlords! My wife and I loved our experience staying at this house.
