Beware! Rodent and Cleanliness Problems, Portable Floor Air Conditioning Inadequate for Cooling Bedrooms

I regret to report that this is the worst property I have rented due to numerous serious issues: rodent Infestation and unsanitary conditions: We discovered a dead rodent on a sticky trap and droppings on the floor next to the bed, with a dryer sheet placed to mask the decaying smell. This represented a dangerous health hazard. Since the trap was placed before check-in, it is clear the host was aware of the problem but did not communicate it to me nor follow up to assess the infestation and remove the trap. The unit should not have been rented until the rodent problem was resolved. The presence of the rodent, especially in such proximity to the sleeping area, highlights a significant cleanliness and health safety issue that required immediate action by the host. Notified the host in the morning and returned in the evening with no action taken. Host responded "I would do it myself but I'm over hour away". I removed it. Received no compensation. Even refused to refund $200 cleaning fee.
