A Peaceful Retreat Yet Close to Everything

Truly a Home Away From Home

My husband and I lived here for two months while he studied for the Bar exam and I worked in Knoxville, prior to making a big cross-country move. There was nothing not to love about Jessica's place, from the comfy bed, beautiful updated kitchen, cozy dining area, large wrap-around porch, and beautiful landscape. We loved eating dinner on the porch, walking around the property, putting up our hammock, checking out the local birding park, and throwing a football in the backyard. Truly the sweetest spot to spend a summer! The house was very clean and had several fun extras - we loved using the Kitchen Aid mixer and essential oil diffuser. The area felt very safe, with Martha knowing many of the neighbors. Martha herself was a delight to interact with, attending to the yard work and landscaping diligently, kindly bringing us our mail, and even sharing a couple of her cookbooks with me at the time of our departure. We will always remember our summer spent in Strawberry Plains fondly!

Home Away From Home

I am a PA student on clinical rotations and had the privilege of staying for a few months. I couldn't have asked for a better stay! Jess and Martha were wonderful hosts and quick to respond to all of my questions. The area was absolutely beautiful and property was maintained well. The house was very clean and Jess provided all the essentials and more. It truly felt like a home away from home and I felt safe my entire stay. If I find myself back in the area, I hope to stay again.

Cozy Farmhouse

My husband and I are travel physical therapists and we were in the area for about 4 months. We were looking for a place to rent that was out of the city, but close enough if we wanted to make a quick trip to Knoxville. We found everything we wanted and more in this sweet little farmhouse. We felt so at home, and had everything we needed! Jess left us plenty of kitchen supplies to get us started (trash bags, ziploc bags, aluminum foil, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, etc) along with some nice cookware and a kitchen aid mixer! The views and sunsets are amazing from the dining room window, and we loved watching our little groundhog friend that lives in the shed next door. Our neighbor, the owner of the land, Ms. Martha treated us like we were her own and visited us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The yardwork was done for us, and landscaping was well kept. If you are looking for a home away from home you will definitely find it here! We miss it already.

Home away from home!

I am a traveling PA student who stayed in this house for multiple months during my rotations. This was a beautiful getaway that provided me refresh at the end of each day. The house was very clean and updated which provided a warm, welcoming and comfortable stay. The views provided from the house in all directions are beautiful. The porch provides the perfect place to take in these views and was my favorite part of the house! The neighborhood is very welcoming and the perfect place for walking or running as well! It was the perfect place that provided a quick trip to Knoxville but out of the hustle and bustle of the city. The owners are very helpful and quick to answer any question or help with any problem no matter how big or small. I felt very safe during my stay and would definitely stay again if I am ever in the area.
