Great local, beautiful place, and good people
My stay was magnificent! I'm a down home southern boy from South Carolina and I enjoyed my 3 month stay in Kittery Point. I would've stayed longer if it wasn't for a knee injury. Priscilla was an outstanding landlord/host. She was hospitable, courteous, and informative. She gave me lots of info about the surrounding area, Maine, and New Hampshire. The neighborhood is quiet and the people are nice. Her house sits on a nice size lot.The grass is green, trees big, and a wooded area out back. You can sit on the deck, catch the cool breeze, watch the trees sway, and the deer and wild turkeys slow walk through the backyard. I love her dogs, Foo and Haley. Haley greeted me every morning, tail waggin, and lots of licks. Foo is small but makes his presence known with his loud barks. He is always near by. When I returned from work, they were always there with tails a waggin. Couldn't help but smile. The dogs are well trained and quiet during the day. I worked the nite shift. I can't say enough about the restaurants and the excellent superb food. Totally outstanding! So much to choose from. I spent more money on food than I intended to and don't regret it. Everything you need is close by. Grocery stores, gyms, shopping, and downtown Portsmouth are short distances from the house. It's so relaxing driving around Maine and New Hampshire. You can tell the people have pride. The neighborhoods are so clean with well manicured lawns. Do yourself a favor, take some overnight and day trips. See the coast, visit some lighthouses, and take some boat rides. Spectacular! Thanks Priscilla.
Prime Location
Spent a year living with P and I have such fond memories from my time in Kittery. The house is so close to so many different types of trails. My dog loved Fort Foster during the off season! The road is just a turn off route 1 with all the shops, but you drive down into a whole different type of Kittery. So secluded and private without being far away from important things. Gym, grocery store, shopping, food all within 5 minutes. The dunkins at the end of the street was my savior. Even with the close proximity, I always took the long way along the coast to skip route 1 traffic and enjoy the views. You dont realize how close to the water you are. You can take those back roads right into downtown Portsmouth. Less than 15 minute drive on coastal roads. I was blown away by the food in the area. I still feel like I barely scratched the surface of Portsmouths culinary culture. P always had the best recommendations for restaurants! This house is the perfect location!!
