3335 Hillside Apartment Across Street/OHSU

excellent stay

I stayed at the SKY studio apartment for my travel assignment at OHSU Doernbecher Children's. It only took me 5 minutes to walk to work. I worked night shift during my stay and I loved how quiet the neighborhood and unit was so I was able to sleep pretty well as a light sleeper. The bed was also super comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows available for when it gets cold. Gigi was an excellent host as she would get back to me asap if I had any problems. The studio was clean and well maintained. Loved how laundry unit was just downstairs. Parking wasn't bad aside from Mon- Fri 8am-3pm where you'd have to park alittle farther but I always found parking. If you don't have a car, it's also super easy to walk to the tram down the south waterfront where you'll find alot of your basic needs. Overall, if I make my way back to Portland I would love to come back here, I highly recommend.

walking distance to OHSU hospital

I had a great experience staying at this 2-bedroom rental while working a traveling job. The location was incredibly convenient, especially because it was within walking distance of the hospital, which made getting to and from work so easy (I even go home during lunch breaks). I had a car rental during the 1st week that I was there. This property does not have a designated parking, but I had no issues finding a parking spot in front of the property. The rental had everything I needed to feel comfortable during my stay, and having two bedrooms gave me plenty of space. The owner was also very responsive and helpful whenever I had a question or needed anything. Overall, it was a comfortable, convenient, safe and stress-free place to stay while working away from home. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place while on a traveling work assignment.

Amazing Stay

I staying in the Unique unit for my 3 month stay in the Portland area. Gigi and her husband are absolutely wonderful to work with always available and reachable for questions or concerns. The unit was clean and well kept and huge plus having laundry available just downstairs. I personally didnt have a car during my stay but there was always parking in front of the unit. I worked at OHSU and commuting without a vehicle was easy either via Uber or the Ariel tram down to the street cars at the bottom of the hill. I highly recommend this unit and Gigi. I would absolutely stay again should the opportunity arise!

I stayed in 3 of Gigi's units (Unique, Sky, and Oregon) due to my own scheduling circumstances during my time working at the VA for 3 months. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better living experience. Each unit was excellent. Well stocked, clean, and very cute. We didn't have trouble with parking. The laundry room was clean and convenient. I always felt safe in the area and in the apartments. Gigi and her husband were so kind and accommodating, very easy to work with, and just lovely people. Definitely don't hesitate if you're planning on working at any of the hospitals nearby; I had a 10-min walk to the VA. Couldn't have asked for more! :)

Do not recommend

I've been traveling for five years and this is the worst property I've stayed at. The unit itself is separated from another unit by a bedroom door. You can hear everything. Snoring, talking, fighting, among other things. Parking is nonexistent during the week so once I found a spot, I was only able to leave on weekends. So many ants, which I should have known would happen since they had ant traps set up in every corner. Mice in the unit, and there was one dead rat at the bottom of the steps. Only pro to this rental is the proximity to the hospital, I will be returning to OHSU, but will find better housing next time.

Cute studio Apartment!

Close to OHSU (<5 min walk). Studio has like new kitchen appliances. Studio includes necessities to help start out. The owner is great and easy to work with!
