Experience OK

Rental is clean and bug free. It has modern appliances and fast WIFI. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. It is a great location with many restaurants and stores near it. 15 mins to DT Asheville. Overall a great place to rent, however, there were some disappointments during my stay. PROS: Clean, Bug Free, Fast WIFI, Good and safe neighborhood; House was fine after Hurricane Helene came through. CONS: I was here during the hurricane. Lost power, heat, food went bad and almost ran out of gas. (I almost left due to this but ended up staying.) Landlord was out of town during hurricane and didn't really contact me during this time. I was disappointed landlord didn't offer much support during this time (the neighbors here were a huge help). It was very stressful time (since I had no family here) and almost ran out of gas. Eventually everything came back on. Noise level was also a disappointment. Not quiet all the time. Besides the above events mentioned, it was a nice rental but maybe I would have had a better experience if I hadn't been here during the hurricane. Also lost half of my deposit. I put a crack in a table at rental and landlord told me it was broken so had to replace table. The place was spotless when I left. First time ever not getting my full deposit back. I am giving it a 3 star and would not rent here again.

Most of this is accurate however there are several details that were left out. Before securing the contract here at the property this tenant was explained my work schedule and informed about renovations I was working on here at the property outside which would cause some construction noise during regular daytime hours for about 2-3 weeks. She was given a substantial discount for her first month rent to compensate for this. My grandmother passed away 9-20-24 which was a few days before the storm and I have been her primary caregiver for the last 5 years. I left Asheville and headed for my hometown the day before the hurricane to facilitate the funeral service and contact family, friends, and distant relatives about the funeral service. Most cell phone service was not working here in Asheville so the attempts made to contact my tenant did not go through for several days. This tenant sent me over 300 messages in a 90 day period to inform me about something or request something that was not part of the amenities offered. The coffee table was not fixable that was broken and therefore replaced with the deposit due to it being outside the realm of normal wear and tear. Tenant also used super glue to attempt to fix the table which caused more discoloration. I am glad to answer any other questions people may have about this tenant.

Great Quiet

Owner was very helpful and answered back quickly with questions. The property is about 15 minute drive to Mission Hospital so close to city but in a quiet neighborhood that feels very safe. The house was well maintained inside and outside, fast WiFi, SmartTV, comfortable beds. I rented alone, he has keys on the wall to each room if you decide to have a roommate. Would definitely stay here again if I came back.
